What the Client Wanted:

The management at Jantantra News Channel had a very specific vision for each zone of their office. They wanted the reception and front lobby to make an immediate, powerful statement — something dramatic and media-worthy that would impress guests, advertisers, and visiting dignitaries the moment they walked in. The director's lounge or VIP waiting area needed to feel premium and high-end, with the kind of look you would expect in a top-tier broadcast network. The main work floor had to be modern, energetic, and open — with designer lighting that keeps the team motivated. They also specifically requested a dedicated green zone or biophilic corner that would provide a calm, refreshing contrast to the high-pressure nature of news work. The conference room needed to be boardroom-grade — sleek, impressive, and functional for high-level meetings. And throughout the office, the corridors and common areas had to feel clean, professional, and seamlessly connected.

The reception area was designed to be the most talked-about part of the entire office — and it absolutely delivers. The centrepiece is a stunning custom reception desk finished in white marble-look high-gloss laminate with a black floating base, sitting against a breathtaking feature wall made entirely of backlit 3D hexagonal wood-finish panels in a warm walnut tone. Each hexagonal cell is individually lit from behind with warm golden LED lighting, creating a honeycomb effect that is both visually dramatic and unmistakably media-forward. The floor is finished in a classic herringbone-pattern wooden vinyl, adding warmth and sophistication to the space. This reception is not just a desk — it is a brand statement.

Director's Lounge / VIP Waiting Area

The VIP lounge area was designed with luxury and media prestige in mind. Dark wood-grain wall panelling in bold diagonal and geometric patterns lines the walls, creating a rich, dramatic environment. A pair of deep navy blue velvet sofas with gold-legged accent tables set the tone for high-level client meetings and executive conversations. A wall-mounted television was incorporated for live channel monitoring. The false ceiling features a custom geometric LED ring fixture in gold and white that becomes the room's crowning design element — a sculptural piece that doubles as a chandelier. The floor continues in warm wooden vinyl, tying this space to the rest of the office seamlessly. Built-in backlit display shelving in a striking yellow-gold finish lines one wall, offering both storage and visual impact.

Main Work Floor & Open Office Area

The open office and main work floor were designed around the concept of energy and focus. Large circular LED ring pendant lights hang at varying heights from the ceiling — a bold, contemporary lighting choice that fills the space with bright, even light while making the ceiling itself a design feature. Dark charcoal fluted wall panels were used on feature walls to add texture and depth without overwhelming the brightness of the workspace. Herringbone vinyl flooring runs throughout, maintaining visual continuity. Frameless glass partitions were used to create individual cabins and work zones while keeping the floor feeling open and connected. The overall palette of dark grey, white, and warm wood creates a newsroom atmosphere that is focused, professional, and visually stimulating.

Biophilic Green Zone / Nature Corner

One of the most unique and thoughtful spaces in the entire office is the biophilic green zone — a dedicated nature-inspired corner that provides a genuine mental reset for the team. The floor is covered in lush artificial grass, bringing the look and feel of an outdoor garden indoors. Three walls are adorned with a stunning floor-to-ceiling tropical forest mural wallpaper featuring dense foliage, birds, and botanical illustrations in rich greens and naturalistic tones. Track lighting above adds a warm spotlight effect, making the plants and mural come alive. A marble-finish counter unit at the entry serves as a refreshment or informal conversation point. This space is unlike anything in a typical office — it is a breathing room, a creative reset zone, and a visual highlight that every employee and visitor remembers.

Conference Room / Boardroom

The boardroom was designed to command respect and facilitate high-level decision making. A custom-designed oval conference table in solid white with a distinctive oval cut-out at the centre serves as the room's architectural focal point — a bespoke piece of furniture that immediately communicates seriousness and modernity. The table is surrounded by executive black leather chairs. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows on two sides flood the room with natural light and offer panoramic views of Noida, reinforcing the channel's presence and stature in the city. The false ceiling features a clean curved LED cove design with integrated cassette air conditioning — functional, elegant, and completely uncluttered. Indoor potted plants are placed along the window line to soften the space and improve the room's air and ambience.

Corridors & Common Areas

The corridors connecting all office zones were designed to feel purposeful and polished. Frameless glass cabin walls line the passage, allowing natural light to flow through while maintaining acoustic separation. The ceilings feature exposed beam detailing with recessed spotlights for clean, directional lighting. The floors continue in the same herringbone vinyl pattern used throughout the office, ensuring a seamless design language from entry to end. Bold abstract wall art panels featuring dynamic graphic prints were installed at key focal points along the corridors — adding personality and visual rhythm to what could otherwise be a purely functional passageway.
